How would you react if you found a dead body in the snow…?
…while walking home one night, and there’s nobody around? Plus your phone died, and the harsh winter climate is getting worse. Then you discover that the person is actually still alive, calling to you for help. But once you get closer to him/her, you realize he/she looks like a "monster" (severely deformed perhaps).
Please tell me what your reaction would be.

This is going to sound incredibly nerdy (and possibly pretentious), but seeing as this is the Books and Authors section…
3 quarters of my favorite literary characters are deformed. There are a few people at my school, even, who could be considered so. It doesn’t really bother me to a huge extent; I would probably be caught off guard and scream, but I would get over it eventually and enlist the mighty cell phone to call for help.

I’d put my coat over him and run to the nearest house (it’s night, so I can tell who’s home – the lights will be on) and call for help from there.
It’s not like there’s anything I could do by staying anyway. I’m not very big, I wouldn’t be able to carry him, and I’m guessing his main problem is cold – he’s calling out so doesn’t need CPR. He needs an ambulance ASAP and that means I have to leave him to go call one.
But, to be honest, I wouldn’t go walking in the snow on my own at night with nobody around and a dead cellphone.

I would start to cry, have a panic attack and vomit. And I would have pretty much the same reaction to dead animals (such a birds in the road).
And actually, if I found out the person/thing was still alive, I would be incredibly relieved. Even if the thing was a monster, because at least it is not dead…

ok, here is my story (ive made up for the record) of the day i found a dead moster in the snow…
i found a dead body in the snow when i was walking home from my school. i go to a high school pretty far from my house but i just felt the need to walk home that day. so im walk and about a third of the way to my house, i saw some black bent up thing. so as im walking closer i think its some sort of twig. When i saw what it was, i didn’t scream (at first) but my heart did like, one loud beat and then it felt like it stopped dead. my eyes felt a bit fuzzy and i started feeling my pulse beat like a drum in my neck. i lean forward and feel a chill go up my spine. as i feel a hot, sweaty-like feeling creep up my face and cheeks, i lean back, letting the cold air cool me off and give me a second of thought. I hard pain begins to grown in my chest as i breath out. I take a second look, breathing heavily. then i notice something odd… is that a… yes… yes it is…. (description of how you want the monster to look). I freeze in my spot and once again feel my neck being choked in hot sweat. I can feel a nervious cry slowly crawl up my throat. suddenly it stops in the dead center and i can feel my lungs clog. i cant breath. the sweat starts to close up around my cheeks and to the bridge of my noes. i have to do something so i attempt to exhale but what comes out is a panicted blood curling scream. my hand slap infront of my eyes as i try to dart away. unfortunetly i trip over my feet and im sent slamming face first onto the icy sidewalk. My right cheek and chin skid across the frozen surface….
u can add to that. i dont want to write this for u so ive tried to put it in a way that you can get the idea but put it into proper sentences.

This one starts off in a much darker and more sinister tone than most of my previous writings and I’ve got to be honest, it hits very close to home with me. The story behind it is as follows:
A Christian struggling to find strength to keep the faith, I would take the time when out and about to host debates in my heart, mind and soul between God and Satan. There is this field about 15 minutes from my house that is always covered with dandelions at about this time of year. This field, with a good open view of the setting sun is where I found my inspiration and is also where I think I closed my debate and finally found my strength in Jesus, the strength I was looking for. I wrote a vivid poem to describe the emotion behind it. "The shadow" is me.
I had been longing to read a poem like this. This is just so beautiful! You have been gifted Adam and such poems reflect it. I haven’t been answering you for long as I feel that someone really good at poetry should critique yours. I believe this one is perfect. Reading the story behind it just made me understand it better. I believe the strength is within us, Jesus just helps us to find it, all we need to do is have faith.

How do I breed my Dachshund with my German Shepherd?
Since there are all these popular new "breeds" what do you think I could call them. I want to get in on the quick cash everyone is making on the new designer dogs and I think doxie/shepherd crosses will be awesome. Also do you think it would hurt my Dachshund to have the Shepherd puppies? My Dachshund(mother) is 11 pounds and my Shepherd is 88 pounds. Is 5 weeks too early to find them homes?
I forgot to ask how much should I charge for my awesome new puppies? And I really need a name for this new breed.
For all of you telling me not to breed stop it becasue I am only going to breed her one time ……. after another and then I will keep a female pup to start over with. I am not in this for the money I love my dogs and I just want others to have an affordable puppy.
OOhhhhhhhhhh, I want one! I was thinking of breeding my Shih Tzu with a Jack Russell. That way people here will start to know Jack Shih, since obviously most of them don’t!!!!

why would you want to create more mutts? You they are cute, but, thousands of cute mutts die every day in shelters because of lack of homes.
A small dog cannot give birth naturally to large breed puppies, a cecarian would be necessary, and expensive. Do you have at least $1,000 + laying around to cover that?
Please spay and neuter your pets.
BTW, 5 weeks is way too early. In some states its illegal to sell a puppy younger than 8 weeks.

Visit a shelter and see all the dogs who need homes—-and will be euthanized due to lack of space & people like you, interested in "quick cash".
In case you are serious—the mother dog would not survive the pregnancy. And it is illegal to take pups away from the mom prior to 8 weeks, 10 is preferable.
I think you should surrender both of your dogs to rescue groups, because it’s EVIDENT you don’t really care about their health & well being.

If your German Shepherd were female it might be safe enough to mix these breeds but vice-versa, No. It could very well kill your Doxie. This would not make good looking pups and they would probably be hard to find homes for. There are to many homeless animals without us creating more on purpose. If you want to do something worthwhile for your animals, get them both fixed.

Well obviously you know nothing about breeding dogs first off. If you breed them your dachshund for sure would end up needing surgery or die from the strain on her organs from the size of the puppies that it would create. First off.. the designer dogs have been bred in a program so that finally a stabilized look has been obtained for the ***new designer*** breed/ or breeds – it is not exactly a hit or miss action going on here..
A so called back yard breeding which you would like to do is just that ***a back yard breeding***.
Next, What do you think will happen to your 11 lb Dachshund if it tries to pass a puppy the size of a shepherd puppy… Do you mind blood & guss???
Lastly, who will you get to give you any big bucks for these puppies…
take a good luck at it.. lots of vet bills plus probably a C-section birth if you don’t want to kill your dachshund but it will probably die anyway… Poor Baby= I feel so sorry for her.

Hi! I don’t know the "how", but I know it can be done. When I was 6 we thought we were going to get a dachshund puppy. We were all surprised when the puppies appeared dachshund size, but looking just like a German shepherd. "Luv" (OK, it was the 60s) looked similar to a long-haired dachshund, but her nose and tail more closely resembled the shepherd. She was one of the best pets I’ve had and lived to be 15.

Don’t do it! I had a mid-sized dog growing up who was impregnanted by a Lab, she could not give birth the puppies were too big and after the 4th was born her uterus ripped and she bled to death!

Don’t forget to point out to all potential new owners the advantages of having a more powerful, protective dog with the"selective hearing" known to dachshunds. Why not go the whole route and make sure they enroll them in Schutzhund training? You could have a tracking dog who will track every animal in the forest and roll in every spot of bird poop before he gets to his prize. And then there’s the protection phase. Anything that is part dachshund will certainly receive the ultimate back and neck workout hanging in mid air swinging around from a padded sleeve.
