Cruel Intentions is a modern remake of the film "Dangerous Liaisons" which was made back in the 1980s, with John Malkovic, Uma Thurman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Keanu Reeves & Glenn Close. Dangerous Liaisons is the film of the book "Les Liaisons dangereuses". (Cant remember the author.)
If you liked cruel intentions you should definitely watch D Liaisons because it is FAR superior to it, you will see that Ryan Philippe totally copied John Malkovich in the role of Valmont, he could have at least come up with his own style of speaking!
